Concept for the new Mastodon album

seems jessie's move to atlanta has had an effect on some of the local musicians

"There is a paraplegic and the only way that he can go anywhere is if he astral travels. He goes out of his body, into outer space and a bit like Icarus, he goes too close to the sun, burning off the golden umbilical cord that is attached to his solar plexus. So he is in outer space and he is lost, he gets sucked into a wormhole, he ends up in the spirit realm and he talks to spirits telling them that he is not really dead. So they send him to the Russian cult, they use him in a divination and they find out his problem. They decide they are going to help him. They put his soul inside Rasputin's body. Rasputin goes to usurp the czar and he is murdered. The two souls fly out of Rasputin's body through the crack in the sky(e) and Rasputin is the wise man that is trying to lead the child home to his body because his parents have discovered him by now and think that he is dead. Rasputin needs to get him back into his body before it's too late. But they end up running into the Devil along the way and the Devil tries to steal their souls and bring them down…there are some obstacles along the way."

Holy God: The Expendables

Slyvester Stallone is a crazy fucker. want proof check his next movie. If this cast wasnt enough he wanted Jean-Claude Van Damme & Wesley Snipes but couldn't get em!(Snipes is n jail & JCVD is busy doing split kicks)

The cast now includes Mickey Rourke, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whitaker, Eric Roberts and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film tells the story about an “expendable” team, hired to do jobs
that no one else can or will. The team is sent to infiltrate a South American country to overthrow the ruthless dictator and liberate the country.

"WOW. Just when you thought Slyvester Stallone couldn’t pack more action heroes in his upcoming action film The Expendables, AICN breaks the news that Arnold Schwarzenegger has joined the cast. But before you get too excited, we must warn you that it’s only a cameo. Arnold is only filming one day, and he will be playing himself - California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. So don’t expect to see Arnold getting his hands dirty."

FUCKIN DUDES-A-PLENTY!

IDW Publishing Signs Deal with Award-Winning Actor Michael Chiklis to Develop Graphic

With daily talk of tawdry fanfic combining with my recent love of the shield and my recent reintroduction to comics, this is great news. IDW put's out a ton of great stuff, my favorite by a guy named Ben Templesmith whose comics look more like paintings throughout than illustratons, that's another post altogether though. Imagine my delight to discover this tidbit

'Rum Diary' Finally

Depp, Heard cast in Hunter S. Thompson tale

Aaron Eckhart, left, and Richard Jenkins

BERLIN -- Aaron Eckhart and Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins will be hitting the sauce in "Rum Diary," the adaptation of the Hunter S. Thompson novel that stars Johnny Depp.

Eckhart is in negotiations while Jenkins is signed on for the movie, which Bruce Robinson adapted and is directing. Amber Heard also is on board.

Eckhart is part of a love triangle that sees him vying with Depp for Heard's affection. "Diary" is the tale of a washed-up, hard-drinking journalist named Paul Kemp (Depp) in 1950s Puerto Rico. Eckhart would play Sanderson, a wealthy landowner who believes everything has a price and introduces Kemp to a different standard of living.

Jenkins is playing Lotterman, the man who oversees the rundown newspaper where Kemp works.

The project, which Depp, Christi Dembrowski and Graham King are producing, begins shooting March 30 in Puerto Rico. "Rum" is a production of King's GK Films and Depp's Infinitum Nihil. Also producing is Film Engine, with A.J. Dix, Anthony Rhulen and William Shively attached alongside Robert Kravis and Greg Shapiro. GK Films is preselling at the European Film Market in Berlin.

Trading Towns

I actually just talked to Chris, but I wanted to let everybody know that I have decided that I am moving back down South. There are a lot of reasons, but mostly I think that it is just time to move on from Providence. I have a lot of great memories here, but I think that if I continue to stay on here that may not continue to be the case. Leaving on a high note like Costanza. There is also a lot going on with my family that I think that I am missing; graduations, my little sister going on to middle school, elderly relatives, etc.
But I do still want to maintain some semblance of independence and keep things fresh. I decided to move to Charleston because A) I have never lived there B) the town has really grown on me over the last few years, and C) I had a good time hanging out with everyone over the break and would like to continue that.

My thought right now is that I will be moving down in the middle of April and staying with my mom for a few weeks. Then probably be ready to move down to Charleston around the beginning of May. I'll keep everyone posted, but that seems like the best scenario for right now.
I'll sign off with the standard You Tube clip

Trippin Balls

Don't usually care for random youtube vids, but there's something magical about little kids on drugs.
